Amazing!  The second half of 2021 is underway and my head is still trying to process everything that’s gone on over the past few months.  For many, life has certainly not slowed down as a result of the pandemic.

That said, we’re keeping it short this week with just the reports and we’re hoping you’re enjoying the weekend with loved ones.

Next week, we will have our June & Q2 Stats Reports available, and the following week we will take a look at the first half of 2021.

I’ve already started to dig into the numbers, looking for the stories that will define the first 6 months of the year.  While we know that the sky-high price increases we’ve witnessed is a big part of that story, we’re going to explore how this year’s events have affected the various levels and segments of the Guelph and regional real estate market.

Where are the opportunities in the coming months?  What do we need to look out for?  Will the market pull back? 

We’ll be tackling these and other questions in the coming weeks. Stay tuned – and until then, enjoy some downtime this weekend!


We recently launched our new Home Sales Website to our subscribers: an interactive property search site that features the sales reports you’re used to, plus you can search through years of historical sales data and set up your own custom searches. In accordance with MLS®, our subscribers must create a username and password to access this information – and once you’re signed up, you can browse the reports any day of the week, plus search specific properties or streets on your own.

  3. On the page that opens, click “Log In” and create a password, confirm your password, and click “Submit”

HOW TO ACCESS THE REPORTS

Once you are logged in, click the “Menu” button in the top right corner. All of the reports you’re used to are available here, but instead of PDF reports, you’ll notice they look much like Realtor.ca property listings. Feel free to explore the new features of the site, and let us know your feedback.

THE PAST WEEK IN THE GUELPH REAL ESTATE MARKET


The end of June is typically the busiest time of the year for real estate closings, and our team has been working vigorously behind the scenes this week to make sure dozens of families can make their moves with ease. On the flip side, this is historically a quieter week for sales, being interrupted by the July 1st holiday, but you’ll notice in the key-week comparison below, that this has not been the case for our hot market over the past few years.
