THAT’S A WRAP!

Unless you’re from a different planet, there is no way you could end 2020 and not say that it was a significant and memorable year.

Memorable on so many levels, with a lot of those levels being negative.  Many of us found gratitude and uplifting moments, even in the smallest of things.  A newfound respect and admiration for front line workers, in all facets and walks of life.  A reminder of how precious our loved ones are. The importance of slowing down. The shutdown forced us to pivot, discover new technologies, and adapt new ways of doing things. We realized that we are capable of adapting to whatever COVID-19 could and will throw at us.

I’m usually a “the glass half full” type of guy.  That attitude was certainly challenged on numerous occasions, yet I kept going back to how people have risen to the challenges, showing the true nature of humanity and our ability to look out for one another.

I’m particularly proud of our team at HGR that have assisted in the community, supporting not only clients but neighbours and strangers alike.  This holiday season, our team & community raised $6,700 for Community of Hearts during our Junction Virtual Holiday Market, and $8,000 for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis during our She Is Your Neighbour campaign. Our team was also able to help hundreds of families make moving – planned or otherwise – as safe and stress free as possible this year.

What does 2021 have in store for us and you, our readers?  Given what we’ve already been through, I’m confident that moving forward we are stronger than ever and can handle whatever is thrown at us.

I’ll leave you with this short video from our team.  Thank you for being a subscriber, and a client.
