If you asked me to share the most interesting fact about myself, I would tell you that I have lived in 22 homes since I was born. Yes, 22 homes! My father was an officer in the Civil Service and we moved from one place to another with every new posting he was assigned. This was the way of life for me. I learned to adapt to different climates and cultures, it  gave me a deep understanding of human relations and interactions.

When I got married, I was moving again due to my husband’s work. I have lived in all kinds of houses from huge colonial houses to turn-of-the century Victorian homes to tiny one bedroom studio apartments.

Every home I have lived in had its own charm and character. I would get attached to a favourite corner and would feel sad to leave it behind... that bay window, that sun room, that sprawling tree in the backyard that was ablaze with red flowers in the spring. But a new place can cheer up any glum face. A new home has a healing power. Believe me!

I can go on and on about my love for homes. I’ve always been a Realtor at heart. I started my career in Advertising after getting a Master's Degree in English Literature. I was in my element, running successful marketing campaigns until a project with UNHCR in a refugee camp made me realize that my true calling was in the charitable sector.

I was heartbroken to see people who had lost the most important thing in their livesー their homes. A HOME doesn't mean four walls and a roof. It means safety, security, family, friends and a future. I changed my career path and worked for refugees, women in crisis, and children living below the poverty line in various roles. .

I got a post grad in Fundraising and Volunteer Management to equip myself with the skills and expertise to raise funds for all the causes that were close to my heart. Two years ago I founded a small non-profit called ini-SHE-ative Canada, and I run a Facebook group called Woman Beings Canada, which is a thriving community of thousands of women. Woman Rights and Mental Health Awareness and helping refugee families are some of the causes that we regularly work on.

Doing the things I was passionate about, I knew that one of my biggest passions was still not satiated. So I started working towards getting my Real Estate license with a full time job, commute and a crazy busy schedule.

I am a go-getter and when I set my mind to something, I put my heart and soul to achieve my goal. There are so many things on my bucket list that one lifetime isn’t enough to even begin making a dent in. But I had to become a Realtor in this lifetime. So here I am with the best team in town to help you with your Real Estate needs.

And yes, just so you know, I am always up for a cup of coffee and a quick chat about everything Real Estate.
