After growing up in Guelph, Ian takes great pride in having the opportunity to still call it home. He continues to live here and raise two teenagers that contribute to the amazing diversity, culture, and wonderful opportunities Guelph has to offer. They reside in the Riverside Park neighbourhood and take full advantage of all our wonderful restaurants, arts, parks, community activities, and thriving business community. You can find him running on some of the local nature trails, at the gym, cooking, spending time with his loving and supportive partner/kids or kayaking on Guelph lake to name a few hobbies.

Ian's father was born and raised in Guelph. As a prominent General Contractor that specialized in UFFI removal, fine carpentry, and whole home renovations in the Royal City, Ian had an amazing opportunity to see the growth, architecture, and gain a sense of community here in our vibrant city. He also absorbed and practiced some important life skills that directly relate to all things Real Estate such as building and maintaining relationships, client satisfaction, investment opportunities, self motivation, trust, and communication.

His passion grew for design and renovations as he worked throughout many different fields within the industry from tile setting, sales management, cost analysis, client relations, business development, and home renovations. Since early 2000, Ian has been a successful entrepreneur in the Home Renovation industry. Due to his discipline, work ethic, focus, communication skills, and dedication to client satisfaction, he has succeeded in bringing many clients' dreams to a reality. This includes homeowners that are looking to update, modify and invest in their homes, investors that are looking to maintain and grow their investment/s (ROI), right on through to first time home buyers looking to start a family and create a legacy for their kids.

He’s also very excited and supportive of the opportunity to help Guelph in achieving its goals set out in the Places to Grow Act by the Ontario government. Serving his clients and guiding them through one of the largest investments of their lives comes with a lot of stress and pressure which Ian is experienced with handling. His calm demeanor, kindness, knowledge, and patience help make his clients feel at ease and comfortable.
